Community Meeting - October 3, 2017
The first of a series of four community outreach meetings for the Equal Justice Center took place on October 3, 2017 at the Chinese Christian Church and Center on 10th and Spring Street. Common themes that emerged included interest in a public green space, a playground, additional parking spaces, and continued dialogue with a larger group of community members.
Based on feedback and priorities that identified during this meeting, we established three goals for our second meeting to help inform our discussion and the design:
- Enhance the public park and landscape to complement the local neighborhood.
- Understand how a multi-purpose space for community use might be utilized.
- Learn about the community character and values of Chinatown.
